i had a friend to stay over the new year. new years eve i went to pick a friend from swindon. the lord was so good. my friend and i started 0800 hrs by 0900hrs we were in Reading. we stopped in the services and had a coffee and a croissant. then we had lunch at our friend's place and brought the other friend back. i had bread with walnuts and cheese with stem ginger. it was delicious and homemade soup but some people might not like it. then we collect my friend's things filled up with petrol and came home only to find i couldn't open the door between the kitchen and the hall. i had to open my patio door to get in . It had a new handle but my neighbour came to my rescue. He mended it the rod in the middle had gone through. We chatted and got ready to go to a new year party. there were 11 of us we had snacks to eat and drinks and played games with real prizes. then we had a toast at midnight. then we went in the garden and had fireworks. they were lovely those who did not bang but very pretty. new years day after church we came here for dinner 4 of us. then we played scrabble. i phoned my sistyer via my webcam. My brother and family were there, so i was able to see them all even my little nephew who is 3 years old. after tea and watching 'the sound of music on DVD. i took them home and went to a 60th bithday party with my friend. My friends daughter has a string quartet, so we enjoyed listening to clssical music and eating and having drinks. What a lovely evening it was. monday i went out for lunch with friends and had a tea party for my friends bithday with birthday cake and other things to eat. then I took them home. i called to see a friend who is not wel before coming home. the next day I had new carpets laid in the hall, stairs and landing. i had to remove everything but all went smoothly and new carpets in the downstairs toilet. i have some mats coming soon with the extra bits of carpets. a mat round the toilet and one infront of the sink, and 2 in the hallway. wednesday i spring cleaned the house, wash my car. thursday and friday i fasted and prayed all day. today went shopping got clothes for my nephews in mauritius and had dinner out with a friend. It's 1030hrs. i think i shall soon be in bed snug with my electric blanket. I have been meditating on this verse ephesians 1:4 ' Long ago even before he made the world, god loved us and chose us in christ to be Holy and without fault in his eyes' what a promise !!! that's all I have to say.
