Aftermath of easter.

Hylands park has fields of daffodils at the moment. Have been to Pleshey twice with different friends, it is such a typical pretty English village. The primroses growing wild over the mound and everywhere else were a site and at their best. Lovely unusual things to buy in the pub and lovely lunch/ afternoon tea. Was disappointed with the horticultural show in Ipswich, no flower displays like Hampton court but lots of things to buy. i got a leather handbag and 2 PVC bags with lovely designs. I hastily add one is a friend's birthday present.Sat by the little Baddow lock with friends for a long time in the sun watching canal boats go through the lock for the first time this year I was not cold. Have been doing quilling with a friend what absorbing fun!! Enjoyed giving easter eggs and cards on sat 8th and good feedback from people after their tea and bun. Had a surprise visit from a german friend I use to work with who just appeared sunday before easter without warning after many years, with a family she was staying with all five of them. Came back for lunch on the wednesday to catch up and had a ride to the Hanningfields.
Prayer: Lord help us to daily remember your death, ressurection, and ascension. Help us to die to self and rise up in Christ. Amen Indeed

Joy & Peace to you all this easter.

I went to help with luncheon club on tuesday for the first time and the dishwasher had packed up as well. On monday i took some friends for a ride to Pleshey to look at the primroses and spring flowers let alone the thatched cottages. My prayer partners and I did a prayer walk around galleywood last year and then churches together had a concert there on wednesday so i thought i must go inside that little methodist church as we stopped and prayed life into that church. so i took afriend who is on a 3rd breakdown after much persuasion. Anyway she was prayed for lots and was thoroughly blessed as she had not been to a church for 9 months. We give jesus the Glory, we just need to persevere in prayer. liz and i did quilling for the 1st time on thursday, it was real fun. i made a card with a butterfly a rose and a sun i just want to put a wavy line the next time we do it. today i went to my neighbour's brother in law. I phoned her this morning but i didn't tell her. So she was surprise, i just thought I'd support her. She phoned me just now to say thankyou for all the phonecalls, cards and care. i mowed the lawn for the first time since the winter today.
A thought 'A little knowledge of God is worth more than a great deal of knowledge about Him'. Also Job came to see God as he is, not just as he wanted Him to be in his distress.

Hi Everyone, The month of march has flown by for me. I hope I have used my time for God's glory serving others and having fun and satisfaction in the process. I have been meditating on jabez prayer'Bless me, o bless me. give me land, large tracts of land( my every need) and provide my personal protection(don't we all need it these days) don't let evil hurt me(what belongs to Him 'resurrection life' belongs to me or you. What does not belong to Him does not belong to me or you). May the lord give me and you what we asked in faith like Jabez. Amen
One excited news is that I took my neighbour and her sister to the breakfast bar in Melbourne. They felt special and were prayed for and ministered to in a lovely way by the speaker due to the bereavement. I must admit I was very nervous to ask them if they would like a little prayer re the bereavement. I looked after an elderly friend for a few days in my home, she had to have to procedures in one day, as a nurse I was able to go in with her to support her. Then this week I looked after her as she had to have a barium xray. Anyway she has recovered now, so today I'm catching up with everything I need to do. I also embarked in instigating her to make a will and it was more complex than I thought, but she safely signed it last monday after sorting a few upheavels.
My hot water tank needed an inhibitor which the plumber had not put after taking his money anyway after being very polite and phoning him several time he eventually came to do it. Hopefully this saga is over now. Then my shower is giving me problems. The water comes like 'weewee' ,anyway the insurance sent an electrician to look at it. He said I needed a new shower, of course it is not covered by insurance as usual, so I'm waiting till it really gives up to get another one as I have to buy it then get an electrician to fit it in. Anyway that electrician came previouly I didn't hear him at the back door, then he put a card in my front door while I was on the phone so I ran after him in the rain following his van in my slippers and fell on the path and hurt my hand that got infected so antibiotics and several trips to the surgery to have it dressed ensued. It did not hinder me persevering in everything I had to do in slow motion. I have a pretty scar to prove it.
Need to mention that a mautitian came fourth in the relay in the commonwealth games. My garden is a picture at this time with all the spring flowers and I enjoy caring for them. I did go to Hylands park craft fair with friends. I also took liz to the cheap shop in Tiptree she was overwhelmed and spent £39.00. I spent £10.00 all gifts for friends then we went to perrywoods for lunch and she bought a plant worth £7.00. Also took friends to Barnes church for coffee with friends then went to perrywoods for lunch and a look round. Took friends who haven't got a car for lunch and a ride to Hanningfields which gave them great pleasure. I also found time to make a few phonecalls to encourage friends and acquaintances in the daily routine and challenging days.
