Hot summer's day

Time flies as usual. I get up really early to have a quiet time so as to be unhurried as usual. I have finished another module of my computer course and passed. praise the Lord. It has gone up to £80'00 so I don't if I'll continue in the library or go somwhere else in september. I went to Mulbeery for a ladies day and took a friend it was a blessed day. I went to Linda Pearce concertaand took 3 other people they all enjoyed it especially a frien who has not been going to church for a while and she had prayer. The baptimal service was good, inspiring testimonies. I went to the church pinic after that I took some friends to Leaden Roding to a church flower festival it depicted the Royal family, very nicely done. we had a cup of tea there and then we watch songs of praise at church before the service because ti was put on so late. Went to breakfast bar with 3 other people and my neighbour came with her sister. I got my friend involved in doing the flowers. Took some friends to the FGB, I was blessed by the speaker and his wife. I took some friends who have not got a car to Hyde Hall I pushed the husband on a wheel chair it was reall hard work in the heat. My flowers are very thirsty and I have so many pots and window boxes and hanging baskets. My waterbutt had 1 inch of water on friday and I'm on a metre Today it has 2 inches of water from the bottom. I washed my car on friday with half a bucket of water. I enjoyed giving leaflets for the free cream tea on saturday and i had good feedbacks after directing them to the church for the cream tea. A muslim lady came in with her children which was encouraging.
A Prayer: Gal 5:16 '...live by the spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature' May our controlled expression touch the problem of our unconcious mind in Jesus name Amen.

On a hot & humid day

I'm not complaining I have a cool breeze across the farm, still I need a Mauritius cool sea breeze. Went to see a lovely garden in great Waltham, rambling roses everywhere all colours arrange in swags with friends, sat in the gardens with a drink for a long time. Took a friend to Mill race for lunch she was overwhelmed by all the plants and gifts. I went to Cambridge to visit a friend we went to see 'luv Esther' very modern play with lots of technology, depicted the book of Esther very well. I went to a Lydia Intercession away day on saturday very challenging i enjoyed a good talk on prayer walking.I took a 20 year old, she enjoyed the talk on prayer walking as well. I had an eye check for reading glasses, needed new lenses, its covered by insurance otherwise more things to pay out. Today I had servicing of my gas boiler. I got a monoxide alarm detector on recommendation. On tuesday the handle of my downstairs toilet broke as the spring is too stiff. The gas engineer came just to look so the plummer is not coming till monday, nothing is straight forward. The insurance covers the system but not the handle so I have to buy a handle.
A Thought: Rev 21:5 'I am making everything new'the old becomes new, religion is sometimes used as an escape from reality but true christianity enables us to look at whatever is coming and deals with it as Christ is the answer. Amen. Jesus empowers us to meet everything with confidence and assurance.
